What's New at Continuex?
January, 2010 News....
Home Healthcare Schedule Module
Continuex Corporation is pleased to announce the availability of our Home Healthcare Scheduling module. This new product addresses scheduling for home healthcare services from the perspective of the client as opposed to most software packages that address this task from the perspective of the service provider. By addressing the task from the client perspective, the software helps minimize the potential for missed delivery of services to your home healthcare clients. The software does allow viewing and scheduling of services starting with either the client or the service provider but the primary scheduling method is through the client’s information.
Some of the major features include
• The ability for you to base your scheduling week on any of the following:
Monday – Sunday
Sunday - Saturday
Saturday - Friday
• Flexible schedule codes that allow you to specify the calendar days or days of the week that a client requests a particular service
• The ability to specify care giver availability days and hours with revisions at any time
• The ability to specify care giver exceptions to their normal schedule for reasons such as:
Vacation time
Sick time
Holidays
Other (such as doctor appointments, classes, etc.)
• The ability to maintain a list of services provided, their fee amount and their associated GL revenue account
• The ability to maintain notes on individual clients for any purpose
• The ability to indicate which services a particular care giver can provide and at what proficiency level they provide that service
• Multiple scheduling cross-checks when scheduling a service to ensure that:
The care giver is available that day
The care giver is not already scheduled with another client
• The ability to copy a client’s prior week schedule forward checking to make sure that the care giver does not have a conflict with the new week
• The ability to pull up both the client’s and the care giver’s full month schedule while performing the scheduling task
• The ability to auto-schedule a care giver to a client for a particular service based on the requested service dates and the care giver’s availability
• The ability to print or email the care giver’s schedule, including the client’s demographic information and notes
• The ability to print the clients scheduled services for any date range
• The ability to print a service review which organizes scheduled services by service type and dates across all clients and care givers
• The ability to print a care giver’s scheduled hours across all clients for any date range
• The ability to run a schedule audit looking for unscheduled services for any client
• The ability to delete or cancel a scheduled service. When canceling a scheduled service, you can specify the reason for the cancellation.
• Integration with the Continuex Account Receivable and Payroll modules to:
Retrieve care giver information
Client (customer) information
Generate invoices and statements for services rendered

COWORKER Clinical Version 8.6
The newest release of the COWORKER Clinical Software, Version 8.6, is nearly out of BETA testing and should be sent out for General Release in April 2007! This release has several exciting additions, as well as a completely re-written Physician Order Module. We’ve taken our customers suggestions and ideas to heart with this, and we believe that each of the modules that we rewrite, and each of the new features we implement, will truly assist our customers in providing excellent care to their residents by allowing them to spend less time dealing with their computers and paperwork! And, as always, we continue to make sure that our software is up to date with any federal and state regulations and specifications.
Here is a list of just some of the new additions in this release:
Multiple Resident Problem Assignment – this gives the user the ability to assign Care Plan Problems to multiple residents at once!
Library Care Plan & Flow Sheet Printing – the gives the user the ability to print out Care Plans and Flow Sheets from the Library, without having to assign it/them to a resident.
Physician Order Module has been completely rewritten to be extremely user-friendly and packed full of wonderful features and enhancements!
Side Effects Library – this allows the user to assign side effects for specific medications to automatically print on Physician Orders and/or Flow Sheets.
Multiple Resident Order Assignment – like the new Care Plan feature, this also allows the user the ability to assign Physician Orders to multiple residents at once.
Library Physician Order & Flow Sheet Printing – this is another feature where the user can print out the Library Physician Order and Flow Sheet data without assigning it to a resident.

New Office Location
Continuex Corporation is excited to announce that we have moved our main office back to Bellevue Washington. We are now located at 11747 NE First Street, Suite 310, Bellevue, WA 98005. Our new space is a nice upgrade to our Kirkland office space with a great view of downtown Bellevue and Seattle in the distance. We are now fully settled into the new space and enjoying it. Our phone numbers (voice and fax) have not changed nor has our email address changed.
In recognition of our environment and of the value of our employees who travel relatively long distances, we have also switched to a partial telecommuting schedule allowing those employees to work from their home offices multiple days each week. The new office space serves as our corporate headquarters and our training facility. Our employees who now telecommute are enjoying the extra time they have recovered in each of their days allowing them to spend more time with their families and the environment is benefiting with a few less cars on the road each day. We are blessed with the technology to allow our employees to conduct business from most any location. If you have caller id, you may sometimes see an incoming call from a Continuex employee with an id other than Continuex Corporation and, if you are asked to fax something, the fax number may be a different number at times. Other than these indications, we are confident that we can continue to serve you in the high quality manner that you have come to expect from Continuex Corporation.

Continuex Is Now Employee Owned
The employees of Continuex Corporation are proud to announce that they have purchased Continuex Corporation from its former owner. This means that you can be guaranteed that your investment in the COWORKER software is sound and that you will continue to be served by the same dedicated Continuex staff that has serviced your accounting and clinical record software needs since 1985.
Rick Kerns, President of Continuex Corporation (and an employee since 1983) sums up the spirit of the employees by stating "Continuex Corporation has enjoyed developing close business relationships with its customer base over the past 20 years. Our employees are dedicated to you and strive to provide the best quality software and services possible. We are not one of the large software vendors serving the LTC industry and we do not see ourselves growing to be one of these large vendors. Rather, we relish being a midsize vendor where we can develop a business relationship on a one-on-one basis with our customers. We feel that it is extremely important to know you and you know us. We are big enough to have the resources to keep up with technology and regulatory needs but small enough to have the time to know each and every one of our customers, their needs, their level of IT knowledge and how to best deliver services to match those needs and knowledge level. We realize that software is not your primary focus. Your mission is to care for those who need your services. Our mission is to assist you with the informational needs that go with that caring. Together, as a partnership, Continuex Corporation and its customers can provide the care to our elderly population that they deserve for all that they have passed on to us."
Each and every Continuex Corporation employee is excited and motivated by this purchase. We will continue to work hard to earn your business and trust. If you are a current Continuex Corporation customer, we thank you for your business. If you are not a current Continuex Corporation customer and would like to develop a trusting business relationship with a software vendor, we invite you to talk with us and with some of our existing customers. You can speak directly with Rick Kerns at (800) 444-1415 ext. 120 or through our Continuex Helpline at (800) 453-2828.
